Delta (Doha) Corporation is an engineering design and
manufacturing company of Wellhead Equipment & Valves,
based in Doha, Qatar. It was established in Conroe, U.S.A in
1977, under the trade name of Oil
Tool Specialties Company (OTS). The
company was formed to manufacture
API 6A Gate Valves and Wellhead Equipment, and it has held
the API license since that time.
Delta Corporation was
acquired in early 1995 by a Qatari investor. Following the acquisition,
it was felt highly desirable to
have an
operation based in Qatar to serve the Middle East, African
and Asian markets would be highly desirable.
Delta (Doha) Corporation was established in early
1995 as a separate entity to the US based operation, and a manufacturing
facility was established in Doha, Qatar. This facility has
approximately 9000 sq. meters and became operational in December
1995. As part of a general restructuring in 1996, it was
decided that Delta Doha would be the Corporate Headquarters,
and the US operation was then closed.
Delta (Doha) Corporation is the only indigenous company
designing and manufacturing Valves and Wellhead Equipment in
the region and as such offers a unique service to the oil
companies in Qatar, the Gulf and the Middle East. Delta has
a twenty-Seven year record of manufacturing different types
of API Valves and Wellhead & Xmas Tree Equipment in
U.S.A and in Qatar.
The Doha facility is strategically located to offer local
manufacturing, refurbishment and testing of valves and
wellhead equipment to the Qatar market and the Middle East
in general. We also have the capability to undertake
fabrication and general machining work, and small projects.
We have developed our product line and manufacturing
facility in Doha, Qatar, to world class standards and are
capable of a high level of detail attention to each order
regarding both engineering and manufacture. Due to our
location, Delta can combine this with competitive prices and
the fastest deliveries. We are committed to the development
and expansion through innovative ideas from experienced
staff and to consideration of customer feedback on our
products and services.
Delta offers a complete line of wellhead products for
production and drilling use. This encompasses heavy duty
gate valves, both manual and actuated types, for Christmas
Trees and casing and tubing suspension systems. All valves
and wellhead systems are designed and manufactured to the
relevant API standards and comply with quality system
requirements.
Delta products meet relevant standards for materials supply
to API, NACE,
ASTM, and ASME requirements and the design of
all standard products are approved by Lloyds Register.
Delta's engineers can quickly develop new designs to meet
specialized requirements for Christmas Trees and wellheads
or recommend variations to our products to meet other severe
field conditions.
The Doha facility has been approved by API
to apply the API monogram on products manufactured
under specification 6A, 6D, 14D and 16A, under license
numbers 6A-0358, 6D-0194, 14D-0038 and 16A-0093 and is fully
capable of manufacturing the entire Delta product range.
Delta has also been accredited by Lloyds Register to ISO
9001.
The trained valve technicians employed by Delta (Doha) have
extensive experience in the service, repair, and testing of
a wide range of valves/actuators and have worked on most of
the major manufacturers equipment. Delta (Doha) has full in
house capability for all aspects of engineering design and
development, and support to the manufacturing and service
operations.
The Doha operation also offers a full Field Service
capability, with experienced engineers able to carry out
equipment installation, testing and service on location. The
refurbishment and re-certification of API equipment is an
important part of the work carried out in Doha, and this
offers the customer and opportunity to have a fully API
backed refurbishment carried out on critical equipment on a
"local" basis, resulting in cost savings and
reduction in turnaround time. Delta (Doha) have extensive
experience in the refurbishment and testing on both manual
and actuated versions of Ball Valves, Gate Valves, Butterfly
Valves, Plug Valves, 4-Way valves, Check Valves-in fact all
